Then & Now-Birmingham
My new "Then & Now-Birmingham" book was released on Monday, April 16, 2007. Below is the current booksigning schedule, however it is available at the Internet sites listed below, along with my other two books.

It features a "then" view, some over a hundred years old, with a current view of how it looks today for comparison. My previous Arcadia books have used old postcards only, however this one is a combination of old photographs and postcards for the "then" views. The "now" views are photographs that I have taken, a new experience for me. The front cover photo (above) was taken on Monday, January 30, 1917 and the 35,000 folks gathered in the streets are there to see Harry Gardiner, known as the "Human Fly", climb the exterior of the Empire Building to the roof. Yes, for those of you familar with downtown Birmingham, that is the intersection of First Avenue and Twentieth Street North.
The book signing schedule is listed below. I visited my newest Grandson, Richard Weeks, over the Christmas holidays in Houston. He was born in Moscow this past summer! He makes number ten (nine boys and one girl) and his Paw Paw is very proud! I will be visiting him in Moscow, hopefully later this year.
Now I can get back to work on the other five books I currently have in progress!
